We are very proud to announce the imminent start-up of a new, extraordinary development, called VILA DO ATLANTICO RESORT which we believe will be seen by investors as one of the top-quality “stars” in the years to come.
This is due to several facts, which I would like to bring to your attention:
1) First of all, the location of the new development (as you can see from the map) is absolutely unique. Placed at about 100 meters from the most famous beach in Santa Maria (just west the pier), it will be seen as a natural link between the center of town and the main hotels. In a 5/6 minute walk, one can go from the development to any outstanding point, such as the “Seaside Promenade” or the main commercial avenues. At the same time, the development stands in a very quiet position, where traffic is no concern, as it is far from the noise of the main routes.
2) The plot where the development is going to be built is more than 26,000 square metersg, which is quite a unique dimension to find free within the town of Santa Maria. Just a part of it will be used for buildings, with the rest covered by gardens, huge swimming pools, social places (a big “ Central Plaza” with top quality commercials will be the ideal connection between the residential area and the beach).
3) Apartments will all have either private gardens or verandas and terraces and the sizes vary from studios to one, two or even three bedrooms. TIMING AND SALES ORGANIZATION
The whole plot was bought at the end of 2006 by a group of Italian entrepreneurs, all quite involved in real estate business in Cape Verde for a long time. Immediately after, a preliminary over-all draft project, presented to the local authorities, has been approved by the town-hall at the beginning of March 2007.
This step is essential in order to formalize the further administrative duties, which we assume to conclude within a couple of months.
In the meanwhile, detailed architectural projects of three different sections of the resort will be presented for approval. In fact, we expect to split the construction into three main phases, starting the works for phase one between October and December 2007.
This means that investors buying apartments or commercials in phase one will have their properties available by spring 2009, while phase 2 and 3 will be finished within a six months delay each. Obviously, each phase is planned in a way that people can fully enjoy their staying (swimming pools, gardens, utilities, etc.) with the minimum disturbance for the advancing works of the next phase.
